SpaceX launch Sunday

Dragon in the sky

Breathing fire and smoke, the spaceship Dragon roared into the night sky Sunday carrying four astronauts and the hopes of humanity.

The capsule was lifted aloft at 7:27 p.m. by the SpaceX rocket Falcon 9 from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The launch went perfectly, boding well for the future of NASA’s return to space exploration, with crucial funding from futurist billionaire Elon Musk.

With the entire planet Earth afflicted with a killer virus and political chaos in America, there is no better time for renewed hope for the world.

The spaceship crew will take 27 hours to arrive at the International Space Station. They are scheduled to dock at 11 p.m. Monday to begin a six-month mission.
